Long story short: Zsaleh Harivandi is an author of YA stories, a mama to three sons under age seven, a graduate of Cornell Law School and Swarthmore College, and a legal recruiter. She lives in Los Angeles with her family. She is represented by Jon Cobb at HG Literary, and you can find her on Twitter and Instagram as @zsalehh.
The not-so-short story: Zsaleh Harivandi grew up in Oakland and Berkeley, California. She spent most of her childhood with her nose in a book, but she made time to play quite a bit of soccer, saxophone, and clarinet. She moved East to attend Swarthmore College (she bought her first winter coat) and then Cornell Law School (she bought a warmer coat). After law school, she lived in Boston, where she got to clerk for two of the most wonderful federal judges on the planet and also did a mercifully short stint as a litigator at a large law firm. She left the practice of law (and the East Coast) when her oldest son was born. Zsaleh, her husband, and their three sons (right out of a fairy tale!) now live in Los Angeles, where Zsaleh is a legal recruiter by day and an author of YA stories at all other times. She is represented by Jon Cobb at HG Literary, and you can find her on Twitter and Instagram as @zsalehh. |
